City of Charlottesville, Board of Supervisors for Albemarle County support resolutions in support of Next Generation Networking

It’s been a busy month in Charlottesville and Albemarle County, Virginia–with excellent results for next generation networks.

On December 5, the City Council passed a resolution in support of the Gig.U: University Community Next Generation Innovation Project. The resolution directs the City’s staff to work with the University of Virginia, Gig.U and other stakeholders towards the mission of accelerating next generation, world leading communications services to university communities.

A few days later, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors passed its own resolution in support of the Project.
